The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader informed Judge Nasir Javed Rana during the hearing that an attempt had been made to poison his wife. Imran says that the side effects of ‘poisoning’ are visible on Bushra Bibi’s skin and tongue. At present Imran Khan is lodged in Adiala jail. There are many charges against him including Toshakhana corruption.
“I know who is behind this,” the 71-year-old PTI founder was quoted as saying by the Express Tribune newspaper. Khan said he would hold the Pakistan Army chief (General Asim Munir) responsible if Bushra faces any loss. should go. Because members of an intelligence agency were controlling everything in his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad and Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
Khan has urged the court to order a medical examination of 49-year-old Bushra on behalf of Dr. Asim of Shaukat Khanum Hospital. He said that he and the party do not trust the doctor who had earlier examined him. He has also requested for investigation into the case of allegedly giving poisonous substance to Bushra.
On the request of the former Prime Minister, the court directed Khan to submit a detailed application regarding the medical examination of Bushra Bibi. Speaking to the media after the hearing, Bushra said that rumors were spreading in the party that he was an ‘American agent’ and that he was poisoned with a popular ‘toilet cleaner’.
He said that three drops of a popular ‘toilet cleaner’ were mixed in Bushra’s food. He claimed that after consuming it for a month, a person’s health deteriorates. The former Prime Minister’s wife said, “My eyes became swollen, I had pain and discomfort in the chest and stomach and the water also tasted bitter.” First some suspicious substance was mixed in honey and now toilet cleaner was mixed in my food.
He said, “Someone told me in jail what was mixed in my food. I will not reveal anyone’s name.” Bushra informed the court that she was properly kept in Bani Gala sub-jail but she was not allowed to open the windows at all.
